"What kind of organizations does CEUAC accredit?"
CEUAC is an organizational accreditor focused on continuing education, workforce development, and professional learning—particularly where traditional accreditation does not fully reach.
"What is a CEU?"
Continuing Education Units, or CEUs, are a nationally recognized standard for documenting successful completion of non-credit programs and courses intended to improve the knowledge and skills of working adults.
One (1) CEU represents ten (10) contact hours of a learning experience in a structured continuing education class, seminar, retreat, practicum, etc., that is supervised by a qualified instructional provider.
"What is the purpose of the CEU?"
Professions in healthcare, education, engineering, accounting, law, social work, and other license holding professions require or recommend earning CEUs.
“How is CEUAC different from other accreditors?”
CEUAC is designed specifically for the informal and workforce-aligned learning ecosystem, where speed, employer relevance, and outcomes matter as much as structure.
“Why should we pursue CEUAC accreditation now?”
Because the landscape of education shifting toward credential quality, workforce alignment, and funding tied to outcomes. Accreditation is becoming a pre-condition for participation, not a future nice-to-have.
“Will this help us access funding or workforce contracts?”
CEUAC accreditation strengthens eligibility, competitiveness, and credibility in workforce systems increasingly shaped by Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), credential quality expectations, and emerging funding pathways.
“What does the accreditation process actually involve?”
A structured, supportive process that includes standards alignment, documentation, peer review, and continuous improvement. This is not just a one-time evaluation.
“How long does it take?”
Although timelines vary based on readiness, CEUAC is designed to be rigorous and responsive, meeting organizations where they are while maintaining standards integrity. However, organizations can be accredited in as little as 90 days.
“What standards are we being held to?”
Standards that focus on quality, learner outcomes, instructional design, governance, and alignment to workforce needs that are grounded in real practice, not abstract compliance.
“Will our employers or partners recognize this?”
CEUAC is built to bridge education and workforce systems making accreditation meaningful to both training providers and employers through shared quality expectations.
“Is CEUAC recognized by regulators or policymakers?”
CEUAC aligns with national, state, and local level conversations at the on credential quality, workforce outcomes, and accountability—positioning accredited organizations to engage more effectively with policymakers and public systems like the Department of Education(DOE) and the Department of Labor (DOL).
CEUAC is an accreditor not currently recognized by the DOE Secretary under 34 CFR part 602, that awards accreditation third-party organizations that measure outcome-based quality assurance standards for postsecondary education that are aligned with established industry standards. However, we are positioning the accrediting body to pursue DOE recognition.
