Our Commitment to Accreditation Integrity
Quality You Can Understand. Standards You Can Trust.
The Continuing Education Unit Accreditation Council (CEUAC) is an independent quality assurance and accreditation organization dedicated to establishing and advancing standards for continuing education, professional development, workforce learning, and informal adult education. We recognize that accreditation must earn the confidence of learners, providers, employers, policymakers and carries public responsibility. We are therefore committed to transparent standards, evidence-based evaluation, qualified peer review, appropriate independence in accreditation decision-making, ethical conduct, consistent application of requirements, public verification of accredited status, and continuous evaluation of our own accreditation system. Organizations seeking accreditation should understand the standards against which they are evaluated. Learners and employers should understand what accredited status represents. Policymakers, funders, and partners should be able to examine the systems used to protect the integrity of accreditation decisions.
CEUAC Accreditation decisions are based on evidence and established standards, not personal, financial, competitive, or organizational interests. We understand that accreditor credibility depends as much on decision integrity as on the standards themselves. CEUAC has clear policies on:
-
Conflict-of-interest
-
Confidentiality requirements
-
Reviewer ethics expectations
-
Recusals
-
Complaints
-
Appeals
-
Accreditation decision safeguards
